Rude SeatHogs Will Always Make You Ask Them To Move

AnimalMan Writes – “We often get comments complaining that one need only ask a SeatHog to move their bags or take their feet off of an empty seat in order to resolve the issue. These rude individuals are SeatHogs plain and simple. Anyone who hogs a seat requiring someone to ask them to move is breaking basic common sense courtesy and breaking the golden rule. All who support such SeatHogs are most likely guilty of the same behavior.”

I see that there was also another species of “hog” on the Metro; ie, the “eatndrink hog” (reflected in the window) sucking on his adult “baby bottle!”

I LUV THIS WEBSITE!!! Thank you for bringing this to the attention of everyone. We all think it but you have the balls to show it. Please be careful when taking your pictures. These people ARE rude.

After reading your article in the Washington Post, I just wanted to clarify something about those who sit in the isle seats. Personally, I like to read my paper and stretch my arms without disrupting the person next to me. I also hate being smashed in the corner by people who may have a large body frame for the available space in the isle seat. To this end, I prefer to sit in the isle seat – not as a means of hogging it but just as a preference of comfort.

You mentioned something about less assertive people having challenges asking the person to move. I do not agree that this is my problem. You don’t stand at McDonalds and expect the cashier to read your mind. You don’t have the person weighting on your table bring you a nice warm dish of whatever they think you want – you have to open your mouth and ask. It is not my problem if the person is not willing to ask if they can slide pass. I don’t think for people so standing there looking at me does not make me move. Non-verbal communication does not get anyone anything but stressed out b/c they are upset that people failed to read their mind and respond.

How about the selfish one with her crack wrapped around the pole. Little children’s hands go there!

Also note the woman hugging the pole via her butt cheeks.

DC Rider, are you looking for excuses to justify your seat hogging? Do you think the bus or train is your personal living room? Your reasons for sitting on the “aisle” seat (it’s aisle not “isle”) are lame. If you don’t think it’s your problem you must be selfish and live in your own world. Then again, most seat hogs are selfish assholes anyway.
